Tilly is a strong young woman who lost her way, but in the end her strength helps her to turn her fortunes around and she not only makes a decent life for herself but helps others too - her friend, Liz, a battered wife who suffers a terrible, shocking event that leaves her drifting and alone, comes to happiness through Tilly's steadfast friendship and love.
